Robert Michael Photography : Sharing the Love

Keeping love alive comes down to the simplest things: a compliment, a note, a gesture.

Looking forward to Valentine’s Day always brings thoughts of love to my mind. I try to go above and beyond for my wife, when truly it is those simple things that keep the love flowing. I think I may have found a solution though - a portrait of us on the wall.  It’s a gift for her now, and a constant reminder for me to keep doing the simple things.

To help my fellow men out there I have decided to create a special portrait session. Bring your wife, fiance or girlfriend down to the studio in the next 2 weeks for a portrait session, and we’ll have a framed 8×10 photo ready for your wall at home for Valentine’s Day for only $40. A thoughtful gift for her now, and a reminder for you to keep showing her your love for years to come.

Sincerely,

~Rob

YWCA: Men Who Cook

•January 18, 2010 • Leave a Comment

Saturday night was YWCA’s Men Who Cook, here in Wausau, in The Great Hall in fact. This was my 4th year there I believe, and was a lot of fun as it usually is. Got to hang out with the chefs most of the night, capturing images of them cooking, some of their dishes. But most exciting was trying many of the great creations they made. I thought I’d share some of the pictures with  the world, and if your in Wausau next year about this time, I highly recommend attending.

in the studio… the heat is….. on.

It’s not really that exciting, unless you count the fact that it was broke all last week, and now it’s warm again. I sincerly apologize to those that I couldn’t photograph, and We’ll make sure to get extra time and ideas done when you are able to come in.

A Final Farewell and A Look Forward

•December 31, 2009 • Leave a Comment

The final hours of 2009 are coming to a close, time to look back and see where we’ve been, and where we’d like to go.

This past year was extremely busy, photographing more weddings than ever before, more senior portraits, more families and more traveling. In our personal lives, we bought a house and got a dog. We took a trip to New Orleans this year, photographed almost every corner of the French Quarter. Had some great food, and came back with fantistic images. Weddings kept us busy for most of the summer, getting to celebrate so much happiness with so many different great people was really special. I’m really looking forward to 2010’s wedding season and all the joy that comes with beign a part of every happy couple’s big day.

I have a few suprises planned out for the new year, and first off is our new website. You can see a ‘under construction’ version here. A new look, a new voice, and an evolving style.

Best wishes to all for the coming year!!

Christmas Cards 2009

Has been great fun. I got to see a lot of families come in, and helped to create some memories, and cards they could share with family. I thought I’d post a few on here as well.

We’re starting to head into a slightly slower time of year, so coming soon will be a brand new website. I’m really excited about it and I think it’ll work out a lot smoother than my current one. I’ll get a sneak peak link up here soon!!

Hello from Robert Michael Photography, I hope your summer was fantastic and this finds you well. This past weekend, has even felt like a return to summertime. Which doesn’t really have us thinking about the holidays quite yet, even though they are right around the corner. So I just wanted to send out this little reminder that Robert Michael Photography is again starting Christmas Card family sessions. We have a special $35 session which includes 25 cards with envelopes. Session times only run until the end of November and times are limited so please let us know early if you’d like to bring the kids or even the dog down. If we don’t see you, have a wonderful holiday.

Wishing you the best,

~rob

From my latest mass email :) Please let me know if you’d like to come in for some Christmas Cards.

Looking at doing a poster for DCE Wrestling with a StarWars theme. I think this could be great. I’m talking to the team later this week and would love to create something like….

star-wars-pictureor possibly…

starwars3posterEither way, something totally epic and colorful. This could be the best one yet, I’ll make sure to post on it soon.
